I HAVE LEARNED SOME MUCH WITHIN A MONTH, I WAS WAY BEHIND WITHIN MY COURSE NOW I HAVE SPEEDED UP AND UNDERSTAND MY COURSE. I HAVE JUST FINISHED MY 2ND RED BINDER CONTAINING WORK, IAM LOOKING FORWARD TO GET MY NEXT SET OF WORK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO I CAN GET ON WITH IT REALLY QWICK BECAUSE IAM REALLY ENJOYING MY COURSE NOW. TMA1 achieved 98% ; TMA2 achieved 90% both exceptional result, am quiet aware this is just the begining of the course and alots of hard work yet still to come, hopefully the studies will get even easier in the future . In three months I was able submit 10 TMA assignments and I just resbmit two of the work. In all my work I did not less than 88% with three 100% of TMA Hi to all I have completed TMA 8. I work as a chef, full time, generally doing a 55-60hr work week. I am in the middle of a divorce and dont get to see my children. I use a 3year old lap top the is in serious need of replacement but cant afford. I belive I have worked through a fair bit of adversity just to get this far and will continue to study hard to gain a career in the IT industry. Managed to complete Core Hardware Section 1 Parts a & B within two months at the same time putting an average of 70 hours at a full time job. Basically I just want to thank all the members and collegues of this instituion who has supported me when ever I need them and now I m just going to prepare for my examinations thank u for just about everything I completed the compTIA A+ Exam last October 2006. I felt a great sense of pride, that after years of not studying I could have accomplished such a feat. It is surprising how at times things turn out to be. I had no knowledge about the computer. I only used the computer to write my essays and print them out, that was it. Every time I encountered the problems i.e. pressing a wrong burton and the work is lost, rebooting, I had to call my dean of studies who used to help me. Then one day, I was running late with the deadline the following and I stayed late at night to finish writing up the work. I did not put the margins properly and it could not print. Being late, I could not call for help. I was really disheartened and nearly got depressed. Then it came to my mind that, if I knew the computer, I would not be in this terrible messy as I would know the problem and work at it. So in December, 2004, I received a leaflet at my door concerning the computer studies. I was afraid to call but after a few days, I gathered the courage and called. Within few days I was told something was visiting me. I was given a test to see at which level I was in the computer, and I said, I only know how to open and close the computer and write essays on it and print them out. The tutor was understanding. When I first receied the first lessaon, it was a little bit hard and almost gave up. But the fear of calling someone whenever, I encountered the problem was a driving force. Now I am enjoying the course and I am happy that I started it. I have been studying the A+ course for just 2 weeks and I have already completed Section 1 Part A and am currently waiting for Part B. I do not have that much time to study considering that I currently work in a demanding, responsible job managing a corporate car hire account for Asda which is a big test for me at the same time. The position is about to end but it has really shown me what I am capable of; to manage this course and the job at the same time. I have learnt and acheieved more about the ins and outs of the networking side of computers. more detail of the building and maintenace side of computers. and I hope to achieve my goals in this course work. Even though I am Working full time, I am still keeping up with regular TMA, I have also passed my LGV driving test in the process.
