This month has been relatively difficult for me to combine work and reading(learning) but with a little bit of perseverance I think I will be able to achieve my target. I am 36 of age, and I was working in (UCLH) university college of London hospital which I was a supervisor in domestic department. I was happy with my job and I loved it. I got up one day and I said to myself I want to have a change in my life. I decided to join skills train: I tell you I have been different since I come to know SkillsTrain. Now I am looking in the future leaving what I hated behind. I would consider my main achievements so far in my course has to be the learning curve in what I have learnt in computers and pc's so far, I can diagnose, strip-down and re-build a faulty pc with no need to revert to looking in any books or on the internet for help and advice. I started my course in 2005 but fell behind and slowly stopped doing it. Now I've started it again I failed the first Tutor Marked Assignment, so I knuckled down and in the last three weeks, I've done three Tutor Marked Assignments. I have come out with a 90% on TMA02 and TMA03 and have just submitted TMA04. The Live Internet Training was presented, easy to follow and useful session. Keep it up guys!! I was a mechanic for several years until a sports injury put pay to that so had to change job roles. I then went into general office work for a number of years but nothing too technical. I am now a full time househusband as my wife is the breadwinner, I look after my two young boys (3yr old & 1 yr old) during the day, normally up at 6am so can be quite a tiring day with the energy that they have & as they can be a little demanding sometimes. I have martial arts classes in the evening 3 times a week so have to be very strict with my study timetable but make sure that I get at least 7-8 hours in a week. I started the first two sections of the A+ course 2-3 weeks ago & have achieved 100% & a 90% pass mark respectively, just submitted section 3 so fingers crossed. I consider what I've done so far with my passmarks a great achievement especially when up until recently all I knew about computers was to turn it on, work certain programs & the internet & turn it off again!! As new student to skills train and a full time worker, I study twice a week and I devote my time to all the course material. I will therefore without an air of resistance let anything hinder my progress as I will make sure not to underscore any of my assignment below 50% mark. Now I have the job in the council, I helps people on the pc. I also rectify the problem and solve the problem. I am also doing very well to set up the computer. Until taking this course I knew nothing about computers and now ive only been doing the course a few months I can troubleshoot my friends and familys comps and more often than not, help with the problem. Not only that but ive also got two 100%'s and one 93% which personally I think is a great achievement. It May be hard but I have acheived something and undertand the workings of a computer better now than I ever did before. I consider it a great personal achievment that I have been able to juggle working a 3-shift rotation(mornings, afternoons and nights)as well as weekend work, somtimes doing a seven day week and still completing my course work to a high standard. Throw in a football mad 3 year old son and you know ive got my work cut out! I have just started the N+ course and I have achieved good results in my first two TMA's. I feel this is a good achievement as I have had a busy year. I passed my A+ exams earlier in the year then I got married on September 8th. During this time I found it difficult to study as I was so busy but now I am studying hard again and this shows with my first two TMA scores for the N+ (which is not an easy course!).
